About the Role
The provider is looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to manage a varied caseload. Your focus will be on improving clients’ functional capacity and providing rehabilitation for those living with disabilities, including physical and neurological conditions.
 
You will have the chance to collaborate with a dynamic team of allied health professionals, including Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, and Podiatrists.
 
Our Client’s Services Include

  • Functional / Activities of Daily Living Assessments and Support Needs recommendations
  • Assistive Technology Assessments for people with simple and complex needs, with the opportunity to expand your skills and expertise.
  • Fine Motor and Gross Motor Therapy
  • Housing Needs Assessments, including SIL / SDA or ILO accommodation options.
  • 1:1 Therapy – evidence-based and goal-oriented interventions.
  • 24-Hour Seating and Positioning Assessments, including the implementation of recommendations.
  • Adult Therapy, including group or 1:1 sessions.
  • Manual Handling Assessments and Training
  • Developmental Milestone Assessments for early intervention (0-5 years) and/or school-aged children (5-12 years) (if you desire a pediatric caseload).
  • Sensory Assessments and Interventions
  • Emotional Regulation and Behavioral Strategies, working with parents, carers, and teachers (in-clinic, homes, and schools).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload: Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based interventions to support clients in achieving their functional goals.
  • Client care: Treat clients with musculoskeletal conditions, neurological disabilities, mental health challenges, and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Maximise functional capacity: Provide client-centred care that enhances independence, wellbeing, and overall quality of life.
  • Maintain documentation: Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping for all client assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s needs.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
  • Must provide a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Current driver’s license and access to your own vehicle are essential
  • Current Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
